Adeline Wood got her start in the health care field at the age of 17, working as a candy striper in the local hospital geriatrics ward. From there she moved on to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, working with psychiatric patients. Her therapeutic treatments helped greatly to support patient mental health issues.

Dr. Wood graduated from Life Chiropractic College-West and Badsworth Hendrickson Institute. For the past 30 years, she has enjoyed an active, vibrant, chiropractic practice. Her sessions may include a combination of orthopedic massage, manual therapy, myofascial release, chiropractic, ultrasound, and moist heat. This unique treatment combination results in complete healing with fewer sessions. She offers life-style advice and stretching and strengthening exercises to encourage self-care and prolonging time between visits.

In the last 10 years, Dr. Wood has also expanded her skills to the field of triathlon coaching. As a long distance runner, triathlete, and open water swimmer, it was a natural step for her to become a certified U.S.A. Triathlon Coach. She enjoys helping many athletes train properly and reach their fitness goals pain and injury free.

Dr. Wood is in the clinic each week on Wednesday and Thursday, with appointments available from 9am – 7pm. To schedule your appointment, please call her direct line: (510) 834 – 1117.
